ARTICLE 1 - APPLICABILITY
MW Life Consult considers the security of personal data important and takes all appropriate technical and organizational measures to comply with Belgian and European privacy regulations.
More specifically, MW Life Consult is compliant with the law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of privacy with respect to the processing of personal data (Privacy Act) until the final entry into force of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), after which the principles contained in this Regulation will continue to be respected.

ARTICLE 2 - DEFINITIONS
Data subject : person to whom the personal data applies;
Recipient : a natural or legal person, service or governmental organization to whom the personal data may be provided:

MW Life Consult : insurance broker who will act as a data controller;

Processor : a natural or legal person, agency or governmental organization that processes personal data on behalf of the Processor;

ARTICLE 3 - DATA CONTROLLER
MW Life Consult is the "controller" resp. "processor" of your personal data within the meaning of the aforementioned Privacy Act resp. General Data Protection Regulation. This means that MW Life Consult determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data.

ARTICLE 4 - PURPOSE AND MEANS
The personal data transferred will be included and processed in the files of MW Life Consult. This information will be used for the following purposes:
Getting in touch and maintaining contact with clientele;
Requesting services, assisting in the completion of an application, assessing eligibility for services, implementing and maintaining services, as well as renewing services as applicable;
Responding and responding to applications and other services;
Suggesting future services that we may provide;
Informing us of products and services offered by affiliates;
Processing transactions from service providers and insurers engaged by us;
Sharing information with parties obtaining insurance coverage on behalf of its clients/members;
Complying with legal, regulatory, security and process requirements;
Protecting against fraud, suspicious or illegal activities;
Collecting statistics for the analysis of our business;
We do NOT share your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

ARTICLE 5 - USE OF OUR WEBSITE AND GATHERED INFORMATION
The information MW Life Consult collects through this site can be divided into two categories: (1) information that data subjects voluntarily provide to our site and (2) tracking information that is collected as data subjects navigate our site
Information voluntarily provided by data subjects
We use a contact or inquiry form on our site that allows you to leave some personal information and requests that we contact you.
If you ask for a quote through our site and the info@mwlifeconsult.be, we will ask for your further personal information which is necessary to develop this quote. This information will be treated according to article 4.
All personal data sent by the data subject will be used only for the purposes indicated on the site or in this Privacy Statement.
If the data subject wishes to conclude a transaction based on the quote, MW Life Consult will collect the necessary personal data to finalize the quote and conclude the transaction, including the data subject's name, address, zip code, telephone number, e-mail address, billing address or payment details, to the extent relevant to the transaction. MW Life Consult will use the data subject's personal data to administer the data subject's policy, process claims, etc., and in general to manage the data subject's relationship with MW Life Consult.
MW Life Consult also obtains information through other individuals and/or organizations
MW Life Consult obtains information from government agencies, trade associations, accountants, claims handlers, insurer or employer of data subject and serves to verify the identity and accuracy of the information provided by the data subject;
MW Life Consult also obtains information about consumers from credit reporting agencies
MW Life Consult also receives information about data subject through sister companies, insurers, other intermediaries, service providers and others for underwriting or claims purposes (such as insurance and claims history);

Use of cookies
MW Life Consult may collect anonymous or aggregated data of a non-personal nature, such as browser type or IP address, the operating system used by the person concerned or the domain name of the website by which the person concerned came to the website, or by which the person concerned leaves it. This makes it possible to continuously optimize the website for users.
This collected data is in no way used for marketing purposes.

ARTICLE 6 - RIGHTS OF THE PERSON CONCERNED
The data subject may easily withdraw his/her consent at any time by :

In addition, the person concerned also has the right to data portability. In this case, the person concerned must always enclose a copy of his/her identity card, so that MW Life Consult can verify that the request does indeed concern the personal data of the person concerned.

ARTICLE 7 - RETENTION PERIOD
Personal data will be stored for the time necessary to achieve the purposes.

ARTICLE 8 - CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS
MW Life Consult has no partnership or special relationships with advertising agencies (on the Internet).
MW Life Consult does not disclose personal information about the data subject to third parties, unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, it is permitted by law, or when authorized by the data subject.
Third parties to whom MW Life Consult discloses information are required by law and contract to keep the data subject's personal information confidential and secure. They will use and disclose the data only for situations that a reasonable person would consider appropriate and in accordance with applicable law and with the following reasons:
To insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries or other closers offering coverage, to qualify for coverage, process and maintain insurance coverage, renew coverage or related products and services;
To associations of clients/participants who apply for insurance coverage as a member of the association;
To the data subject so that MW Life Consult or our affiliates may keep the data subject informed of certain products or services offered by our affiliates;
To parties for legal settlement, claims settlement and valuation;
To credit and insurance registration agencies for processing information;
If third parties wish to use your personal data for other purposes, they are required by law to notify you and us and, if necessary, to obtain your consent.

In no case can MW Life Consult be held responsible for any direct or indirect, damage resulting from an erroneous or unlawful use by a third party of the personal data.

The courts of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that might arise from the interpretation or execution of this Privacy Statement.

It is not excluded that adjustments will be made to MW Life Consult's Privacy Statement in the future. If this Privacy Statement is amended, the new version will be available on the Website. It is therefore important to check the date of amendment below each time you visit the Website.
